The resignation of Maharashtra Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari has been accepted and Ramesh Bess, who is now the Governor of Jharkhand, has been appointed in his place. Recently Koshyari was discussing about his resignation, he tweeted and wrote that I want to resign from my post, he wrote that I want to spend the rest of my time with my family and other activities. For this, he wrote a letter expressing his desire to be free from his post and responsibilities.

He worked on the post of Governor for 3 years and his statements and decisions have caused controversies many times. During his tenure, his dispute with Mahavikas Aghadi has been visible. But allegations of working in collaboration with BJP have also been leveled.
He gave such statements many times due to which a big controversy broke out, later he had to apologize on this. In the year 2030, a program of Jain community was organized in Maharashtra Raj Bhavan in which he said that even though I do not feel happy on the post of Governor, but when such programs happen and I participate in them, I feel very happy.
Bhagat Singh Koshyari was previously the former Chief Minister of Uttarakhand, in the year 2019 he was appointed as the Governor of Maharashtra and before that he has held the post of MP in Nainital. He was the leader of the Legislative Assembly of Uttarakhand from 2002 to 2007. Elected to the Rajya Sabha member of Uttarakhand. After this, in the year 2019, when the tenure of former Maharashtra Governor Ravi Shankar was completed, he was appointed to his post.
Fadnavis was administered the oath of CM

In fact, on 23 November 2019, after the results of the Maharashtra Assembly elections, Koshyari appointed Devendra Fadnavis and Ajit Pawar as Chief Minister and Deputy Chief Minister and administered them the oath. Which later caused a lot of controversy and after 3 days, Fadnavis resigned from the post of Chief Minister after Ajit Power parted ways with the government.
After Fadnavis’s government, now Uddhav Thackeray
When the government of Fadnavis fell in the state, now the government of Mahavikas Aghadi was formed and Udhav Thackeray was appointed as the Chief Minister and Uddhav Thackeray was sworn in as the CM on 28 November 2019, although at that time Uddhav Thackeray was a member of the State Assembly and State Council.

After the oath of the governor, his politics continued for a long time in the Maharashtra government, but when Uddhav Thackeray’s ministers took oath, there was a dispute with the governor because while taking oath, Congress MLA KC Padvi used some such words, due to which the governor’s Siyari got angry and said that you should read only the lines prescribed for taking the oath.
The statement on Shivaji Maharaj was heavy
In the year 2022, in a public function, Koshiyari made a statement calling Shivaji Maharaj, the founder of the Maratha Empire, a symbol of the old times, which later became a big controversy, after which Koshiyari ji had to face criticism, later he also clarified on that and Wrote one to Amit Shah and said that I cannot think of insulting the men of the country even in my dreams.
He said that giving examples of conscientious persons is not an insult and said that he cannot insult great men like Shivaji Maharaj and Maharana Pratap Guru Gobind Singh who were symbols of sacrifice.

Last year in March 2022, in a program, while commenting on the child marriage issue, Koshyari ji commented on Jyotirao Phule and Savitribai Phule’s child marriage, which was criticized a lot. Bhagat Singh Koshyari ji said that when Savitribai Phule got married, She was 10 years old and her husband was 13 years old. Later Koshyari ji apologized for this statement also.
